It started with a nebulizer

At seven, I went through significant health challenges (hospitals, diagnosis, realizing swimming was a literal pain), that led to me being restrained to a nebulizer twice a day. Drawing was too cumbersome and my parent's don’t believe in television before 8 p.m., so I read. And read. And read. And realized that the written word is far superior to all other entertainment, and the only thing I wanted to do with my life.

As an adult, I make a full-time living as a writer in advertising, but books are still my passion. Because of my background, I write novels that uncover parts of life normally hidden, like chronic diseases. I believe that novels are the only way we can truly get in someone else’s head and try to understand their experience, so I infuse that into my work.

Because to care for each other, we must first learn how different our paths can be.
